Introduction to Empower Network
Since my last post was a review of iPas2, I thought it would be most fitting to do my next review over Empower Network. Now before you say to yourself, “Oh, this is just gonna be a repeat of the last review.” Think again. I have a very personal, and unique 6 month experience with Empower Network. You’re really gonna want to read this in its entirety to get the full scoop.
My unique experience is that I know one of the 100k per month earners, that’s right, 100k per month, personally. Meaning, we used to go to the same church together. Our kids used to play together. I have his personal cell and FB. Now let me make one thing clear, this is not at all a bashing of him or his family because I think they are awesome folks and therefore I will not mention names.
I just want to make the point that I met with him face to face, which in the online world, that is something most will never get a chance to do. I met with him face to face for an hour before I decided to join Empower Network, now almost 2 years ago.
Yet after 6 months, I decided Empower Network was not for me and left the company. Now to get a better understanding of my back ground, go to my “about Jason” page, but let me sum it up here. When we met, I had already built a very successful Network Marketing business making 6 figures a year.
I now also own a real estate investment company and an internet marketing consulting company. I knew and still know, what it takes to build any business….hard work, time, and dedication. So when I decided to leave Empower Network after 6 months, it wasn’t a decision a made lightly.
Here is my review of Empower Network.
Pros vs. Cons
There are not too many pros but I will list them and the cons are many.
Pros
- it does have a great funneling system with high end products that allow someone to make great money in a short period of time
- you get your own Empower Network(EN) viral blogging system
Cons
- unfortunately it is not your own blog it is EN’s blog(meaning it is en.com/yourname)what that means is it is harder to get indexed and ranked in google
- Any training is primarily focused on how to promote EN not any other niche
- your support(again at least in my experience, primarily comes from your up line, the person that brought you in
- there is no free trial where no credit card is required(in their defense there is a 14 day money back guarantee)
- I had no access to the owners themselves
- I had no way or better stated, I didn’t know how to getting help from others besides my up line
- But more than anything it’s not that it’s a scam(although I’m sure some will disagree) it is the way they promote their products. It is very misleading.
Who is Empower Network For?
Well after watching almost an hour long video, the claim is that it is for anyone. No matter your background experience with internet marketing or business, and for as little as $25/mo you can have access to a system that will make you millions of dollars.
You see, I don’t think Empower Network is a scam, I just feel it is misleading and therefore unethical. It is in the way they present their initial system, that is misleading. Why? Well because once I paid the $25 dollars to gain access, literally, immediately following, I was sent to another video trying to sell me another product!
Wait a minute, why do I need another product if I already purchased what I THOUGHT was what I needed!? The initial video presentation I saw, led me to believe that my original purchase gave me access to a COMPLETE system with training, but what I really bought was access to the viral blogging platform.
Sure there were about 8 videos that discussed a big picture view of internet marketing, but it didn’t give me a step-by-step on how to do something. So here I was learning from a guy whose website was not an Empower Network website. It was his own website. My first thought was, how do I get that. But I was just told to blog
My point is this. I have been and still am a business owner. I think like a business owner. My thoughts were, if I feel like someone is pulling the bait and switch on me, what will others think when I try and replicate the process? This is what I didn’t feel comfortable with. This was about my principals, about my reputation. And those are worth far more than what money can provide.

Training & Tools
EN provides different training products with different pricing structures, that I will expand more on in a bit. Any one-on-one training really depends on who brought you into the company, also known as your up line. There are some that provide more training than others, and there are some that provide almost none.
Now if I gave you a computer, but you had no idea how to operate it nor did you have a manual for it, would that computer be of any value to you? Well that is what I felt like. Despite the fact that I had direct access to a million dollar earner in the company.
Now in his defense, he did have others who for all the other training product up sells that cost over $5,000. At that time, I had only paid the $25. As a business owner, I would have spent more time with them verses me as well. To give my up line credit, he still did answer any text or FB messages I sent him. Unfortunately I needed more than what he was able/willing to provide. I was horrible with anything computer or internet related!
My first email account was set up by a friend. My wife set up my Face Book(FB) account. I knew nothing about nothing when it came to the internet, social media, or internet marketing. What was I told? I was told to blog. Blog everyday. About what? About what ever I was passionate about or had interest in. That was it.
From my personal experience, if you are a newbie to internet marketing and you don’t have or you are not willing to pay the $5,000 to buy all the products, then Empower Network is probably not for you.
What about Empower Network’s Support System?
If there would have been some way that I could have posted questions or access videos that showed me step-by-step on how to do basic stuff, like post a video or how to write content, this would have been fantastic. And if there were those things, I didn’t know about them, and that is a bigger problem altogether.
I did not know how to access the owners to ask questions or how to private message anyone else within the company. I felt that for me to get the help I really needed I was going to have to fork over $5,000. But if you already felt like you had been given the bait & switch on just the $25, what confidence would you have to put even more money into the company?
If you want personal support than Empower Network is probably not the company for you.

What is my Cost to Join Empower Network?
The cost varies really on what you are willing to pay. Now many will argue here that any business has a start up cost and that is true to a degree. But that cost doesn’t always have to be money. It could be cost of time, cost of effort, money is just one of those costs.
I have started a business with only $199 up front, a lot of hard work and effort, and built it into a 6 figure business. Sure I invested more as time went on but I was already making money from the business to do so. That was not my case/experience here with EN.
So with out further a due, the cost:
The Blog/Viral Blogging System
I can only personally speak of what I had purchased in the past. That was access to the empowernetwork.com blog or the viral blogging system. Here I had access to about 8 videos and while they were very good, even great videos filled with great information, it was all big picture stuff, and while that is very important, I was needing a step-by-step on how to do things.
How to write a blog. How to write a review, is there a format? Even different styles of poems and reports have certain formats or structures that differentiate themselves….just blog. Blog every day. That’s it. It was very vague. I really felt like a had no direction, except of course, to buy more products.
After the experience above, I’m sure you can see why I never purchased any other products. I wasn’t seeing value even out of the $25/mo I was paying, so what would make me believe that I would see value in the other products. If you are solely looking for a blog, there are many other, better, and FREE ways to get a blog.
I still wanted to provide you with information on all the other training products that Empower Network had. So after hours and hours of research and reading reviews on EN, both for and against the company, I was able to put together a review of the rest of the training products:
The Inner Circle $100/mo- Here you get access to many audios from big income earners mostly about having the right mindset, thinking like a business owner, big picture stuff. And I am all for those things. I believe those things are fantastic, but after my first experience with the “Blog,” I wasn’t personally willing to go any further.
Costa Rica Intensive $500- This is a series of videos and quizzes that were produced while a couple of high income earners got together in, yep, Costa Rica, and put together some of their best internet marketing tactics and strategies. There are 11 videos in total.
15K Formula $1,000- A series of 11 videos each with a PDF study guide, on different marketing strategies presented by different folks who have been making it happen. The idea is that there is no one way to skin a cat. The videos provide different ways to get “up the mountain” so that you can find which suits your personality/skills best.
Costa Rica Masters $3,500- There are over 40 lessons on video that go over the top/best marketing strategies that the elite of Empower Network could come up with.
My Final Thought on Empower Network
I don’t think Empower Network is a scam. And if you go to the actual EN website they have all the products they offer right up front and summarize them and tell you the cost. The challenge is, that is not the way I heard about or joined Empower Network. It is the way it was presented to me that made me feel “taken.”
Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it aligns with my principles and values. There are many states that allow strip clubs. They are for all intensive purposes, legal, but that doesn’t mean I am going to open up a strip club.
I know that is a hard comparison. I’m not making a direct comparison of that to EN, but I am just trying to make a point that the underlying business model has to align with my principles and values, especially if I am going to be promoting others to try it themselves.

Thanks for this review Jason. After reading another review on Empower Network’s “hidden costs”, which put me off purchasing, this review makes me feel a lot better about the decision I made, as the sales material they use to draw you in is really first class, and what your saying is a good insiders look at what it’s all about.
Thanks again and I look forward to what you write and recommend in the future!
Jason says
Ian you are very welcome. I am glad you found the review helpful. Many say that Empower Network is a scam, but I disagree, I just felt like their advertising was very misleading. That is what really turned me off to it.
I will be posting reviews like this with an “insider perspective” every week or so.
To our success!

Jason that was a very good explanation on Empower Network and with their hidden costs not being upfront with a person and it was personal with you so I have to tip my hat to you sir I will be looking for your near future reviews so can read about the scams and the products that are legit.
Jason says
Thank you Willie. My goal is to have as much of a personal experience I can with each of my reviews….that being said, yes, Empower really did touch home and was unfortunately disappointing. I will be posting more soon so come back and visit.

Great review here, you’ve saved me some anguish. Greg

Greg, I am glad you thought so. I will have more in depth reviews every couple of days. Let me know if you have heard of a program you would like me to review.
Cheers.

I also looked into Empower Network. I think they also go by Polaris Global. Or is that yet another company we need to watch out for? If it is a different one, maybe you could review that for us.
To me it appeared to be a pyramid type scheme. Too much much money to start and with big promises of recovery of initial funding quickly, plus big bucks in the near future.
Thanks for the info!
Jason says
I am not sure on Polaris Global but I will plan on reviewing that soon. There are a couple other systems for me to review that are in front of it, but I should be able to get to Polaris Global this month so come back and visit….thx for commenting!
Cheers.
